Sad passing of Sergio Pininfarina

It has been reported that a giant in the Italian motoring Industry passed away yesterday. Sergio Pininfarina, who was 85, died at his Turin home on Tuesday 3rd July 2012.

Along with his design house, he was responsible for some of the prettiest car designs, from Ferrari to Fiat, Rolls Royce to Peugeot. Whilst not directly linked with the 131 (most of the 'special' 131 designs being by Bertone) he had a huge influence on Italian car design through the 20th Century.

I hope his legacy continues.........

Sergio Pininfarina is gone, but his name, for the time being, lives on.
