This car was seen in the South of England at the same as seeing the then owner of the Blue Sport that was for sale on here for a while although recently sold.

I was told that this had been a 1 owner car from new before the elderly gent passed on and the current owner acquired it.

It looked totally standard and a real find - Never seen hide nor hair of it since. The owner also had a dismantled orange car for spares.

Blimey Kev - that car's reg is my initials!! Shocked

I've never seen it either. How long ago were those pics taken?

The registration is from the Bournemouth and Poole area of Dorset. Don't ask me how I know that - I just do Roll Eyes Grin Grin Wink (I wish that sometimes my head contained something other than 'useless' information).

Lovely looking car - was it for sale when you saw it or just one that you'd heard about?

I love the rear spoiler Cheesy Cheesy Wink Wink

Ya it's a long story about the spoiler Sid - Obviously I must have won the argument as I'm not the one who keeps resurrecting it...!? Wink Cool Cool

S"P"R 736X? Go on then Si - Tell us, Pretorious?, Pontius?, Percy?, Percival?, Pertwee?, etc, etc... It's got to be one of them hasn't it..?? Grin

I cant remember when I saw it - approx the mid 90s and it was definitely NOT for sale at the time. You could do that DVLA search and check its status there - Could be a good number for you to buy if available maybe..?

Theo may well have hit the nail on the head, but I'm not telling.

The fact that it's Easter might help you too......... Smiley

Hello all!

Just browsing the net and stumbled across my fiat 131 ( SPR 736X ).
It`s a long time ago it looked like that. I still have the car and started a restoration on it about 10 years ago but work commitments have put it on hold until now. The panel work is still rust free but has suffered with rust in the floor pans ( Parking them up is a bad idea).Over the past ten years I`ve aquired a couple more sports for spares. I`m hoping to have it back together by christmas so I`ll keep you posted on the progress. I think the last tax disc shows 1995.

Thanks for The nudge in the right direction.

Pete.

Hello Pete and a warm welcome to our 131mirafiori forum. It's good to hear that another 131 is being saved and preserved. Keep us informed of progress and maybe you can post some current photos and keep us photographically updated of the restoration progress. Since it's going to be finished by Christmas will you be joining us for 3ma09 ? It's only a short drive to Turin and back  Cheesy

Just to let you know the car now resides in Armagh, Northern Ireland after being bought as a major project which has been completed. A lot of work, hours and money invested but think the outcome is well worth it.
