Simon,

Well, I am not so sure about BMW's unless among the ones you own are 3000 CS, 508, 1600 touring or or at least 2000 Tii , but since you also proved your loyality to 131 you are "one of us" and "not one of them"

But seriously, if the divisions between us run along the lines of what cars we own and like and not nationality, race, or language the issue of "foreigner" (or an alien) on this site is dead!

PS: I previously owned a couple of vintage VW's (a buggy and a Westfalia) and currently own a Volvo and Mistsubishi ... so we are all in the same bucket.
