This is our first attempted post on the forum. The website carcodgers.com was inspired by a chance encounter with an elderly gentleman and a slightly crazy dog in the small New Zealand town of Milton. This culminated in the purchase of a Fiat 131 Mirafiori that had lived there since arriving in the country in 1978. Must have been a very proud owner in those days because you had to have foreign currency and go on a waiting list to buy a new car in New Zealand. Anyway, being stuck with this extraordinarily retro contraption it was decided to make it the focal point of a new motoring website that is a bit quirky - but with a strong message about motoring freedom.
