Title: A modified 131 Racing from Italy Post by: kev131 on December 16, 2007, 10:00:06 PM This car came up for sale in Sept 2005 when I was on holiday in Tuscany. I made the trip to Imola to meet the owner and discuss the sale.
The owner was another huge 131 enthusiast having a collection of them including a Racing Vx and this car was surplus to requirements. From the photos it was obvious that it had serious money spent on it and I was assured that the body had zero rust. The engine had either been replaced or rebuilt less than 12000 kms ago. On top of that it had rear discs, Yokohama tyres, Fondmetal alloys and some racing mods to the engine. The interior might have required some unpicking (especially the yellow binnacle surround) but minor stuff really. The asking price as ?4500 and while I was considering whether to purchase.. it was bought from under my nose - Another story of faint heart...etc!? ??? Enjoy the pictures...
