Hello,

having just bought a LADA repair set for installing the gear lever, I wondered if there are other useful Lada/Shiguli parts that can be installed in 131s and are easy to get? As a nice add-on, they usually do come cheaper than Fiat parts and are built to last (apart from camshafts, I was told, but nobody will install them in a Mirafiori anyway).

The gear lever repair set fits perfectly, by the way  Cool

In my country, where everything is a little more expensive than in Serbia, I paid 5 Euros. And postage was much cheaper than with Fiat online shops, so I took the Lada parts  Wink

The "list" is unfortunately hard to read. I would prefer something like an Excel or PDF sheet containing all interchangeable parts in one file. As a sticky entry in the "Garage" section. This would be most helpful.

well, considering that average pay in germany is at least 5 times more than in serbia, price is ok.

sorry for hard to comprehend "list" but i really have no time to make pdf list of all interchangable parts.
it would be wast, specially considering that it should include other cars, not just lada.
for example, U joints from all fords untill 1995 are the same as on fiats and lada.
clutch plate from granada/taunus 2,0 v6 is the same as for 2 litre 131 and 132
hardi joint (rubber donut on driveshaft) is same as on lada and 125/132/argenta
centre propshaft mount and bearing is the same as on lada and other RWD fiats, except fiat 130.
rear brakes from 131 are the same as from mk3 132 and argenta
and on and on...

since i've been driving ladas as everyday cars for 10 years now, just ask and i'll tell you what i know.

fitted lada thermostat to fiat 125 yesterday and one to my 131 last year. requires a bit of fiddling with the hoses but works fine and well worth the trouble at 7-10e price
