This is all still very provisional but our first day's 3ma11 driving should see us exploring the southern side of Devon and Cornwall.
From our base in Kingsteignton we shall head into the
Dartmoor National Park and out the other side into the southern part of
Bodmin Moor, one of Cornwall's designated areas of outstanding natural beauty.
We then cross the Fowey river and head south to
Fowey where will be stopping for lunch.
After lunch we'll cross the Fowey Estuary using the
Bodinick Car Ferry and head towards Plymouth.
We'll do our best to get through Plymouth as quickly as we can and head for
Ivybridge and here we have a choise to make according to available time: (a) We head South to
Kingsbridge and then follow the east Devon coast through
Dartmouth (another ferry crossing),
Paignton,
Torquey,
Shaldon,
Bishopsteignton and back to Kingsteignton or (b) follow the A38 and the shortest route to Kingsteignton via the southeast side of Dartmour National Park.
