Hi,
Can I use the gear shift extension from a 124 spyder to move the gearshift further aft on my 131? As an alternative th the Abarth one which I assume is unobtain able, at least for a price I am willing to pay Wink Attached are picture of the two types of gearchanges and the look much the same to me. The 124 one might be not as long Undecided
Abarth

124

Thanks

Did 124 Spyders with the 2 litre twin cam engine not use the same box as a 131 2 litre twin cam?

Here is a little bit I know.
http://www.mirafiori.com/faq/content/131transswap/131transswap.htm

It seems the 131 transmission is the prefered transmission over that of the 124.

Does the part not fit at all or the angle incorrect

The 131 gearshift extension housings are not that hard to find, you may pay more if it has Abarth written on it. There are probably several sitting in the sheds of members of this forum.

124 and 131 use comletely diferent gearboxes. therefore extensions are diferent and not interchangable. one from 125 special fits 124 gearbox.
one with abarth written on it is exactly the same as "no name" one. any 131 or argenta extension will fit any 131/132/argenta gearbox.
