Although the ad says 1600tc the description shows 2000 engine which is probably correct as its a mk3. Cost me a fortune to get a car back from Malta. I wonder if it will make much more than it cost to get here??   Nice car to start with..... Im watching it.

just had a look at it. i would suggest the colour is not original, its a darker blue under the bonnet, also non uk s3 supers could be had with 1300 and 1600 twin cam engines. im certainly gonna watch it. current bidding is less than i recently paid just for shipping. from jersey.

well guys I SAW IT in flesh  Grin

owner was asking ?600 for it.
99% had a blown head gasket. Caught owner adding water in radiator when went to see it and is shaky when working(maybe water on plugs?Huh).
owner told me it is a 1600cc
recently sprayed and needs another respray since paint is peeling off and a little rust is showing.
it drives well apart the shaky bit but nice car in the end  Smiley.
had parts with it and needs TLC

was going to buy it but while driving it saw a Fiat 132 with a toyota diesel engine (popular convertion in Malta) and bought the 132 instread for ?400  Roll Eyes

Good base for a project then? Headgasket is not really a big problem as these engines are pretty simple to fix. If the shell is solid then repairs and repaints are pretty simple to get done but it all adds to the cost of the finished article.

131tm, a great story.
You went to look at a 131 4 door and ended up buying a 132 in better condition for 400 euro !.
A good days work i would say !  Cool Cool
So to sum up a decent shell but a dead engine so really not worth more than ?600 - ?700 as that is what it would ever reach (maximum) if you sold it on & thats even after fixing the engine or replacing it !!
Like i said if you look at Classic car buyer and other classic papers/mags classified classic car prices are at an all time low in general just now so thats bad news for classic Fiat sellers i would say as we are a small group.
