Very reluctant sale of my series 3, 1982, Y-reg 131 CL automatic. 4 door saloon in gold, with immaculate contrasting interior. 48,000 miles showing, believed geniune. I've owned it for more than 4 years and it's the best car mechanically I have in my fleet of 131s! Shown at the Alexandra Palace London Classic Car Show in 2005 along side Theo's Sport.

Totally reliable starter. Not used on the road since Feb 2005 but regularly started and driven to ensure all systems working and free'd up. Rear brakes occasional bind and very slight leak from bottom hose which stops when engine reaches temperature - otherwise no known faults.

Later 1600 single overhead cam engine mated to 3-speed GM automatic gearbox. Now an extremely rare combination.

Everything works as it should. Bodywork generally very good but starting to go at the bottom of the doors.

Needs loving home other than mine Cry

Will try to post pics when I get a moment.

Open to sensible offers - I won't let it go for peanuts but I'm not greedy either.

Herewith should be some pics of the aforementioned CL.

As yet no takers  Cry which is a shame. Looks like everyone looking for a 131 wants a cheap Sport Undecided Good luck!! Roll Eyes

Looks like I'll have to ebay it which is something I was trying to avoid. Still, it has to go as I need the space and want the car to be enjoyed by someone else rather than just sitting here.

Are these old photos Simon or do you own the green super next to it? Someone on the Fiat site has been asking about buying one, so I pointed him in your direction. If the super is for sale, let me know!

Hi Dave,

Yeah, these are quite old pics but the CL is the same.

I did own the green Super, but I sold it ages ago. However I understand that it is for sale in Eire with a price tag approaching 5,000 Euros - almost ten times what I sold it for Undecided (I won't fall for the old 'I'm an enthusiast and really will love this car' line again! Roll Eyes)

I think the gas van is still available though - he's still trying to repair the heating Roll Eyes Grin Grin Grin

The lure of the almighty dollar (or Euro) in this case! I doubt it will sell for 5000 Euro, but you never know. I wish you had sold it to me, I am an enthusiast, I've not yet sold a 131 just bought them!

So far had no takers for this beauty, although I must admit to not really trying too hard to sell it!

I washed it thoroughly last weekend and started her up and took her for a short drive round the block and everything seems fine - unlike my Racing which is now squirting water out of the front of the water pump Roll Eyes

Really need to sell the CL - if I can't then might even be forced to part with the Racing......but only as a last resort!

Hi Guys and thank you all for your interest.

I took some pics earlier today but they really don't show the car at it's best as I didn't wash it before hand. I did however start her up and run her about and there are no problems.

As you'll see the car has not changed ever so much since the earlier pics were taken it's just that I would rather she is kept under cover somewhere instead of being parked where it currently is.

I had a deal with a guy in May at ?1,000 but he hasn't put his money where his mouth is or sent me a deposit. He is aware that I'm opening the sale up to others - so she up for sale at offers around ?1,000 sterling.

Incidentally - buyer collects.

As I have said, the interior is mint - still has a period Voxon stereo.

A couple of shots of the engine. Could do with a steam clean but other than that has always run like a swiss watch. The only thing I have had to replace is a condenser Grin

The observant among you will notice that I have now moved house - to get more space for my fleet. The sad irony is that I've got to sell some of them to generate funds to pay for the upgrade works of the new property Undecided

Hi chris131,

Yes the Racing is the same car that was at the Ratoath do in March 06. Thing is that I doubt that I shall be parting with it if I can sell the CL and if I did it wouldn't be cheap Wink

Marty, firstbangina131? Well in my case both are true!! Wink Cheesy Grin Wink Cheesy Grin Cool
