Genuine RHD UK Car
Originally Black now in 2k Kawasaki Lime Green with 2k Lacquer inside out!
Registered 1980
Present ownership since 2004
Featured in Autoitalia Mag twice

This car is solid in all the right places and represents an excellent example. It was restored in the mid nineties and had new inner and outer sills etc etc. The workmanship was top and this chap knew what he was doing. The paintwork is stunning considering it is 17/18 years old. Since my ownership, it has had no body welding done at all. I have dry stored it 8 years and cherished it...ask my mrs and mum and dad!


It has a perfect mint engine, and having covered a 1750 mile trip to Germany/Holland in May 2012- it used hardly any oil. The gearbox is perfect aswell as the diff.

The interior is in excellent condition and i also have a slightly better condition Red one should the new owner wish a swap as i really could do with keeping the Black one!

It has a sliding steel sunroof but, is currently sealed due to the top outer seal missing. It has been like this the last 8 years and is water tight. The sealant can be removed for the sunroof to function.

In everyday use and on the key ready to go!

Next dry road use car is the 130tc and the CL as a winter project.

i 'd have the red interior  in ,     8)  what you going to do to the CL  something along the same lines
 

I would love to keep the black interior. Didn't think red and green went but it don't look that bad afterall.

The CL needs a good going over. Been off road for 8 years or so. Starts and runs but i need to get my hands on her! 23k, one owner. Should be interesting. I'll get some pics in Sept when it's at the garage. 130tc is in the way at the mo!

It's a nice car and a fair price. Not many decent RHD sports come up for sale. If it was one of the standard factory colours I think it would be sold already but someone will fall in love I'm sure.

Regardless of what anyone says if you are in the UK an original RHD UK car will always be more desireable than a LHD import 8)

This colour is a little like kent green, that was available on S2 4 door 131's in 1978/1979 a rare colour :)

XLF has had a few colour changes, it was originally silver, then green and when I sold it back in 2006/07 it was black

I think you might get a good price on ebay it looks real nice in the photos and we have seen a few 131s make decent money on there recently.

Where are all these people who keep saying they want a RHD sport? Now is your chance!

Did this car sell on e-bay?, i see a few comment about the colour and in fairness this would sell in a heartbeat if it was in factory colour, sorry to say that sev. When you do individual things like your own mark on a car, you may like but when it comes to rare edition's, ie the sport model, there better left alone or dare i say abarth GRP 4. Sorry sev nice car but its a 1500 pounds bill to get it back to factory colour.

That's a fair comment Lee... (although to some people this colour is very attractive ...unlike some of the non standard metallic colours that some people have chosen) but in my opinion.... that's reflected in the price.  :)

I've driven 100s of miles in company with this car and it performed faultlessly. It also seemed to have plenty of power and well able to keep up with Theo's 155 bhp GC engine and Simon's 140 bhp Abarth. Having the mechanics sorted, is one of the major challenges of buying an old 131 out of the way. And if you want to turn heads, what better way to do it!!  ;D

It sounds like it would make a good buy, even though I would have it resprayed Orange  :)

However, with the move back to England, Arbitration Exams looming and a million other things going on I don't have any capacity to add to my 'to do' list  :-\ :-\.

When things are settled and now that I am back (i hope permanently) I will be looking for a 131 Sport or Super.

Sorry mate she sold quicker than a few thought on this forum. Was up against a LHD put up on the same day....but as we now know, not everyone wants a LHD! ;D ;D ;D

Keep looking... RHD's are about....just a matter of time.

I know of a certain RHD Sport in the UK and am sure the owner must of mailed you.

I bought a Sept 2004 copy of retro cars last week of ebay to read the article about the 131 cover feature Abarth (BLE 981S) and browsing through it Sev I saw a little piece by one of the reporters on your old green 131 for sale at the retro cars show 2004 must have been either when you bought it or just before.
I wish 131 sports were for sale for the money that was for sale for in that add now in 2012.

Angus, I bought the car around Sept 2004 4 months after I got married! I had seen pictures of it at retro rides show that year and had heard good and bad things from members about it and decided I need to have a look at it myself, seeing as I had enough spares to convert it back to a standard road car.

I purchased it via the classified section of retro rides. I went down to potters bar with a mate in my E36 318is Sport and bought it one sat morning, struck a deal and drove it back with a wining diff, fuel leak that I did not see before, one carb about to drop off, gear selection problem, engine breather entering cabin, cut springs cable tied to diff plus lots more.
