One of my best friends owned this around 1988 ?? 1990 ?? And it was in very clean condition, He had just fitted replacement doors to it before he sold it !! :D There is a story behind him selling it but we were all over a bit of waste land down near a railway track one day around 1988 - 1990 and this guy in an Austin Allegro or Austin Maxi?? :o? I believe it was the Allegro!! :o :o. This guy came flying down this hill in it bouncing every where and believe he got stuck in the mud at the bottom, :D ;D the next thing I know a deal was struck and my mate had the Allegro ?? :o? :'(and around ?150 !! And the 131 was sold ! I had an Allegro Equipe once briefly, it was one of the few cars I scrapped without a hint of regret & didnt bother taking a thing off of it prior to scrapping!
The 131 in question seems to have lasted till the end of 97, which as you probably know, was a pretty good innings for a 131...
