Title: My new wheels
Post by: mick131 on September 15, 2008, 05:46:59 PM
Bought some wheels a while ago off ebay. They are BWA alloys, 8 x 15".

Picked them up at Gaydon yesterday from an Alfa 155 owner who had very kindly offered to pick them up for me.

Personally, I think they suite the style of the car pretty well? ;D...but what do you guys think ??.?

I think you should put some tyres on them first :D :D :D :D

or at least get a price for some, as that might put you off straight away! :o :D :D

They look alright to me though.

Looks like your 131 might be ready for 3MA09 Mick - just a lick of paint and she'll be good as new - probably better! Keep up the momentum mate - she's looking good. 8)

I agree with Simon Mick - I didnt realise you had made such progress - Is that a new door skin...?

Like the wheels too - Its difficult to get suitable wheels for replicas if you dont want the expense of the original style. ???

Thanks for the comments chaps  ;D.

There has been a little that's been done recently but not as much as it seems ::).

The rear suspension should be finished in the next month or so ( bar the coilovers and brakes ). That was always going to be time consuming. I've got a list, of the top of my head, which is as follows:-

1) I have to sell the Jeep first to finance the dipping.
2) It needs the bodykit fitting and then it needs painting.
3) Front suspension to sort out ( not a major issue ).
4) Engine and blower rebuild.
5) Wiring loom installing ( not looking forward to this at all  ::) ).
6) Windows to sort out.
7) Tyres ( GULP... :o :o :o )
8) Suspension alignment.

That's not as much as I have already done but still a fair old amount of work. I've actually said to a good friend of mine that, come the day I'm too senile to drive ( that could anyday now  >:( ), I'll pass the car onto his son ( my godson ).

The little chap will probaly get more use out of it than I will !!.

Kev - that doorskins an old one, must be the light when the pic was taken.

Yes Mick,

The Fulvias rims are a bit narrower, I saw no markings on them.....are there any makers name or other marks on the ones you bought?

The ones on the 031 are campags but looked a bit like yours.
