Picked my copy up at the Classic Car Show NEC Sunday which was a bit disappointing.

Lots of photos, not read it fully but appears well researched by this respected Author.
Somehow I felt very slightly let down by content can't explain fully why.
perhaps high expectations, I guess the 131 Abarth particularly rally history is limited
due to available information inc. that from Fiat ?

First colour plate is of a Mk2 Escort !!
Press car ? VUC974S features of course - is it still around?,
shame not more info on Mick Woods cars.
No pics or history of Volumetrico versions, were these not 131 Abarths ?

And before I get a deluge of replies this is simply my own short not in depth review
I am certain members will form their own opinions............

There is just the one pic of a base model 4 door Dave.

Cheers all, and enjoy it, a must have. Xmas just could not wait.

Yes they are Abarths, but they are a different model not Bertone and never sold as 131 Abarth Stradales.

The Volumetricos were never used in rallying, 2 prototypes were developed for Grp 5 racing but were not competed.

The difference between the 131 Abarth and the 131 Abarth Volumetrico is a bit like say a Lancia Delta S4 and a Delta Integrale, same name....different beast  ;).

Got a copy and read it all!

It is a must for all  131 lovers. Only wished it was 5 times as thick with far more detailed data (both sports and
technical) - more for an enthusiast than just a general reader.

Any way - money very well spent. Highly recommend !

Actually I would not mind if someone published a whole, comprehensive encyklopedia on 131...
