Title: Sold a 131 today!
Post by: mirafioriman on November 22, 2008, 09:04:54 PM
Today one of my 131s found a new buyer. After advertising it on about 5 websites and having it on ebay I decided to put it in Classic Car Weekly. The first man who responded came today as promised, brought with him the cash and a trailer and a suitable deal was struck.

The new owner has a keen interest in 131s having been and continuing to be a 131 sport owner for a number of years. He wished to add a 131 4 door saloon to his collection and now has one. I hope that soon the car will be back on the road and in use.

Here is a picture of the car about to leave to its new home. The new owner was a little camera shy!

The new owner does not have a computer or use the internet, but I did tell him to get down to an internet cafe and join us here on www.131mirafiori.com? ;D

Not sure on the timescale, but he hopes to have it back on the road and keep it for a good few years!

Well done Dave

Just out of interest I should know but why does this car have the rubber body moulding strip against mine which has the lower mouldings ? Is it variation between models as I thought mine was a mk3 on the X plate.

The green S reg I sold to Guy from Derby had the strips being I thought a MK2

Sorry if I am being a bit thick

Ian

This one was indeed a series 2 Supermirafiori. It was a 1600cc twin cam. In the UK we only got 2000cc series 3s, although others got 1300cc and 1600cc twin cams too. I guess it was a late series 2 and yours is an early series 3.
