Also have 2 16V cylinder heads. If you want I can send you some pics of the wheels? chris Title: Re: wanted Post by: alan.acs on December 28, 2008, 01:16:18 AM are the 16 valve heads fiat 131 ?
Title: Re: wanted Post by: parrish on December 28, 2008, 10:31:57 AM Alan,

Title: Re: wanted Post by: chris131 on December 28, 2008, 09:15:43 PM Hi, No the heads are not 131 - just fiat 16V heads.
Title: Re: wanted Post by: djape1977 on December 28, 2008, 09:22:21 PM from FWD or RWD fiats?
Title: Re: wanted Post by: alan.acs on December 29, 2008, 12:57:05 AM fiat what ? early or later engines.
separate cam carrier type if so am interested What is the et of the wheels and what price? Title: Re: wanted Post by: chris131 on December 29, 2008, 11:50:07 AM The heads are the same as what would have been fitted to a tipo 2000 16V, fiat coupe 2000 16V, lancia thema 2000 16V, delta integrale 16V etc.
The wheels I think have an ET of -8. PCD of 4X98mm and centre bore of 58.1mm - so specifically made for Fiat, no wobble bolts needed ;) I need ?500 for the wheels, they cost me more but I don't think I'm going to use them. Title: Re: wanted Post by: djape1977 on December 29, 2008, 11:52:29 AM The heads are the same as what would have been fitted to a tipo 2000 16V, fiat coupe 2000 16V, lancia thema 2000 16V, delta integrale 16V etc.
-therefore they do not fit any fiat with rear wheel drive. Title: Re: wanted Post by: alan.acs on December 29, 2008, 11:54:09 AM They do fit just inlet and exhaust are on different sides.
and you need pistons. Title: Re: wanted Post by: djape1977 on December 29, 2008, 12:29:32 PM tried that already. i also have some engines from newer fiat/lancia. opens up a world of new problems...
Title: Re: wanted Post by: alan.acs on December 29, 2008, 02:00:21 PM Did it not work for you and why ? out of curiosity
Title: Re: wanted Post by: djape1977 on December 29, 2008, 09:01:09 PM i don't claim it can't be done but...
exaust pipes must be on the left side where space is tight because of the steering coloumn (lhd cars) and starter motor (all models) distributor, which is attached to the inlet cam is in serious conflict with firewall Title: Re: wanted Post by: Thotos on December 29, 2008, 10:34:15 PM I am confused :-\ What engine bay is that? It's certainly not a 131 ...
Title: Re: wanted Post by: djape1977 on December 29, 2008, 10:42:41 PM doesn't matter. just a first photo of late model 16v head i found using google to show position of distributor and exaust manifold. imagine that engine head rotated 90* counter clock wise and in engine bay of your 131 and you'll se what i mean
Title: Re: wanted Post by: alan.acs on December 29, 2008, 11:08:14 PM Why would you use a distributor on a fuel injected engine when mapped is so much better.
the exhaust is an easy conversion. the only real problem is the water outlet which requires routed around the head. And that's not the distributor that's the water outlet Title: Re: wanted Post by: djape1977 on December 29, 2008, 11:16:48 PM ok, i'll take a few pics of some bits and pieces of diferent fiat/lancia engines in my yard and prove my point.
Title: Re: wanted Post by: alan.acs on December 30, 2008, 09:21:31 PM Maybe walezy will post some pictures of his 131 16 valve engined rally car
before he fitted Honda s2000 engine. just to show how its done. |
