The orange sport was once a really nice looking example but in the end turned out to be really rotten. The car next to it was his next project which was a strong shell that was getting a full restoration done. However, the cars were sold. The project went to Ireland and came up for sale again recently on here. I think it was someone called Liam who was selling it here. That must be an old photo because Scott sold the car some time ago now.

Title: Re: abandoned supercars Post by: bellamacchina on January 25, 2009, 06:00:21 PM About the sleeping beauties. There was a book about these cars. Now there is a new title which shows what happened after. Most of the cars were restored since and even went to concourses including Pebble Beach. It is always fascinating to find out these kind of things.
Title: Re: abandoned supercars Post by: djape1977 on January 25, 2009, 06:22:10 PM browsing around websites with abandoned cars i got sick!!! there's people out there that deserve to be shot on the spot! us soldiers in iraq vandalising ferari testarosa, lamborghini lm, uk based company "eurospares" that brakes up for parts cars that have minor problems... just makes me sick!
Title: Re: abandoned supercars Post by: mirafioriman on January 25, 2009, 08:50:39 PM Just had an email from Scott, the picture was indeed his from some time ago so they are not still sitting there! At least one of them has been saved, although I am sure the orange one will have been scrapped by now, it was extremely rotten when I last saw it!
Title: Re: abandoned supercars Post by: gerafiori on February 02, 2009, 06:35:52 PM hi dave, the shell is in roscommon in ireland t is having a grp 4 walzey kit put on this week as i was told sunday by the current owner and the orange one is my project ,someone must have done work on it sence you last saw it
the car is very solid new sills, floors, under bonnet is vgood as is the rear end outer part of rear wheelarches are bad but they would have to been cut off to fit the kit on anyway, the quarterpanels were poor but they replaced now both of these cars will ride again 8) ;) Title: Re: abandoned supercars Post by: mirafioriman on February 02, 2009, 07:57:38 PM The orange car had, at some time in it's life, had a pair of new inner wings fitted, which may explain why the front end is good. The rest of the car when I last saw it, however, was in a bad way, particularly the rear inner arches from memory. This was, however, some time ago now. When I first met Scott his orange car looked lovely, but it is amazing how much rust can be hiding ready to jump out at you in these cars.
