Title: 1997 Mirafiori Sport Post by: Thotos on April 13, 2009, 02:30:32 PM Did you guys know that the Fiat Mirafiori Sport was not officially imported to the UK until manufacture of the car re-started in 1997?? ???? :-\ That's what the man from the windscreen place claimed when I called to ask for a chip repair (got a nasty windscreen chip on the M25 yesterday? >:( ). The windscreen man insisted that my car is an import because "that model of car was not officially sold in the UK until manufacture restarted in 1997" he claimed? ??? :-\? I tried to correct him but he got very upset and insisted he was right and I was wrong "because his computer told him so"!!!

I am fairly sure that windscreens for Sports are still available with the top tint but in my case I only want a chip repair. Also Yagmur has 131 screens with the top tint.

I tried to get a new one about a year ago and had no joy. If you can get one let me know as I would be interested in a new one aswell.

I checked with a company that sells windows for oldys, for a clear front window they want 129GBP ,146euro. and tinted 144GBP, 164Euro and + shipping! Here's the reply they sent..
"Hi Mick Good news yes your fiat screen is available from stock @?105.90 +vat. Irecommend collection from us as we have had problems with carriers in thepast . however if this is not possible we would be happy to quote carriage.A 30% deposit is required to reserve your screen balance on collection .orfull payment prior to despatch . I got a new one for my 131 (was a few years ago now) was about ?50 +VAT at the time.
