Title: 131 prototype in 1966!!
Post by: bellamacchina on August 26, 2009, 07:00:24 PM
Here is an interesting article from Autovisie 1966 which shows the new Fiat 131 ;D
They talk that this car should replace the 2300S coupe and has an engine from Maranello. Nice that they also talk about a new car, the 130 with a 4 liter engine!
A nice one for Gremlino :D

Hmm,
Interesting one this.

Size and body side/rear would suggest 124 Coupe but the roof is all wrong.
I would think this was a development mule being used in 1965/66.
I wonder when the decision was made to adopt the Pininfarina 124 Spider design whether this mule had been an in house design study for the Spider?
The roof looks like it could be a hard top bolt on.

Anyone have any ideas? :-\

It has the penline of Pinin but is very like a small Dino spider which also came with a hard top roof similar to this...
