Title: Re: rusty old 132 Post by: djape1977 on September 24, 2009, 11:09:26 PM however rotten, it still produced many useful bits and pieces to extend the lives of others of it's kind
Title: Re: rusty old 132 Post by: mirafioriman on September 24, 2009, 11:20:24 PM Looks like most of the 132s you see in the UK ::)
Title: Re: rusty old 132 Post by: djape1977 on September 24, 2009, 11:38:25 PM most of them look like this all over the world...
seems that only 132's that are not rotten to the core are in desert countries such as australia and egypt. this one wes left standing in a marsh since 1999. and even that it was too rotten to pass MOT. i got it free with a condition to remove it from where it was standing. fortunately, i have a good friend with a big truck Title: Re: rusty old 132 Post by: hammerbeirne on September 25, 2009, 09:15:37 AM There were 3 of them sold on irish ebay as a lot bout a month ago in navan meath for 305 euros heres the address Http//cgi.ebay.ie/Fiat-131-132woqq...d=p3286.co.m14
Title: Re: rusty old 132 Post by: theredx19 on September 25, 2009, 11:53:07 AM Ah sure Djape that is no worse then any Lada I have seen ::) ::)
Title: Re: rusty old 132 Post by: djape1977 on September 25, 2009, 06:55:26 PM believe me, lada's anti corosion protection is exactly the same as on any fiat from 70's and 80's. there's none.
like it or not, lada is a member of fiat family. often treated as an ilegitimate offspring but it's there and noone can deny it. rustproofing is equally dubious, plastic bits are of better quality than fiat's, not so prone to cracking and bending, chrome parts are much better, their bumpers do not corrode so quickly, engines are worse than most fiats, not all. lada actually has much better brakes than 131 for example. twin piston calipers in the front and much bigger aluminum drums in the back. and one more thing: when temperature drops to -15'c only thing that starts in the morning withouth popping up the bonnet is a lada. Title: Re: rusty old 132 Post by: djape1977 on September 26, 2009, 08:28:14 PM the end. gutted and disassembled. everyhing of use taken off. the rusty wreck sold to scrappers for 20e ;D
Title: Re: rusty old 132 Post by: 20vturbo on September 30, 2009, 09:21:50 PM would hardly say lada were part of the fiat group ,nice save with the 132 though.
Title: Re: rusty old 132 Post by: Kennedy of Sixmilebridge on September 30, 2009, 10:20:28 PM I've seen worse, not by much though.
