Title: Once deadly enemies... Post by: kev131 on June 18, 2007, 06:51:15 PM The mark 2 RS2000 was the number one market competitor for the 131 Sport with many magazine articles comparing the cars. My particular favourite was the CAR magazine article in Feb 1979 where despite been rated as being a slower accelerating and more expensive car to buy, the article gave the thumbs up to the Fiat with the unforgettable strap line : "Fiat's refined 131 Sport tangles with Britains top hotshoe special and proves that back street brawn Italian style is the thing to beat".

I did a similar photo shoot back in 1991 with my black Sport, JPD969V, and my brother's mate's black RS 2000 custom. I'll see if I can find the pics and get them scanned in.
