Title: Fiat Argenta Steering Parts Post by: Fiat Nut on November 09, 2009, 12:50:10 AM Hi, I am looking for a full set of steering parts for an Argenta RHD - Box, Idler and Pump etc. Would anyone out there have them stashed away or still on an old body? - Thanks :)

Title: Re: Fiat Argenta Steering Parts Post by: djape1977 on November 12, 2009, 01:42:58 PM correct me if i'm wrong, but the steering "head" (rack and pinion or whatever it's called) is not the same for LHD and RHD cars?
Title: Re: Fiat Argenta Steering Parts Post by: david on November 12, 2009, 03:09:01 PM djape, as you say 132 is steering box not rack & pinion but this is just the power steering pump which on all the 2000 ones I have seen is the same, not sure on earlier 132s so couldnt comment.
Title: Re: Fiat Argenta Steering Parts Post by: djape1977 on November 12, 2009, 04:59:56 PM pump is the same as far as i know, but steering box (thanx) is probably different for LHD and RHD. i have several steering boxes for LHD cars
Title: Re: Fiat Argenta Steering Parts Post by: Fiat Nut on November 12, 2009, 06:03:29 PM You're right, the 132/Argenta was a worm & roller system, as far as I can tell the 132 2000 introduced in 1977 came with the power steering version - the 1600's & 1800's prior were not. The steering box and idler are handed (pity about that djape1977!). The pump from David is universal.
