Title: Automatic welding helmet
Post by: sid131 on November 14, 2009, 10:12:59 AM
I got this during the summer on ebay & it took so long coming i bought another one cos i needed a shield badly, brand new sealed in its bag never opened with its box, there are 2 batteries with it inside the bag with instructions, adjustable shades 9 to 13, i paid ?60 for it will take  ?40 for it + post would be good for the home restorer.

I already have one ;D but it is a bargain for somebody. Much better than the old fashioned type of helmet and helps to improve the quality and speed of your jobs.

This one took over 6 weeks to arrive & i needed a shield that day so i had to buy one in town which cost ?120, but needs must  & it paid for itself, so a bargain as Dave said.

I used to ride motorbikes in Uk twenty or so years ago, nothing special or big but its too dangerous here now as the standard of driving has gone right down hill over the last twenty years or so and they pull out on you and dont see a ton of 131 coming towards them so no hope on a bike, think they give car licences away in cornflake boxes here now but according to them the test is harder !

i did my 2 part bike test in London through csm part one was at the old wembley stadium & part two in Greenford,  radio contact with the guy following me & was ok passed no problem, never had a licence here in Ireland before that only dodgy ones that you could get away with back then. car test i did when i got came home from England.
