Title: anyone interested in???
Post by: Heini131 on July 19, 2010, 07:11:50 PM
Hello out there,

for quite a while now i am feeling a bit ill. So i went to the doctors and they tell me that i have a really big 131-desease and there is only one solution to get healthy again: i have to buy another 131. I think it will be a racing this time!

But first i have to sell this one

Don't want to discourage you, Heini, but IMHO nobody will pay this price for a green Kadett (twice the original sale price!). Like with Racings, where orange is THE color that makes the car more desirable, it is yellow/black for the GT/E. Yours is definitely a nice, pristine car, but it is no gem. Having owned 17 Opels in my life, from Kadett to Diplomat V8, I think I still do know the market.

Would it be an Ascona 400, that would be something else (btw, would prefer a well prepared Ascona 400 to an Abarth Stradale  :o)

Here's the original Walter R?hrl Ascona 400, his world champion car from 1982, side by side with the Ineptitude (still in her blue livery back in 2008):

Hello Robert,

you are right and i know the market too. This was just a try but i got several phone calls and someone from Regensburg is coming on Thursday. As i am willing to discuss a serios price for the car it may be sold.

When i get a serious price for my car i will start to visit some racings which are on my list....

Greetings
Heini

Heini,

The blue car looks familiar. Especially with the front spoiler. How did you get this car?

Well, Mike, let me answer this question. The familiar looking blue car is mine, since 2003. And it is still mine, now having changed a little  ;)

Heini

Your car looks familiar because I had a German friend with one just looking like this one. You're from Germany, right? Or am I mistaken?

O boy. Do you need reading glasses?  ??? The name is Robert. Heini started the thread, and it was me who threw in the picture of the blue car.

Ik kom uit Duitsland, ja  8)

The car I bought from Michael Flohr, nickname "Floppi". Maybe you know him?

Robert,

I'm so very sorry for getting your name wrong. :-\ :-\ :-\
But I was right, you got the car from Floppi. Already thought I recognized it. Perhaps you've read the forum 2000 TC doesn't run. Well, once that car was his too. I traded it for a 4-door 1600 CL. Do you know how it is with Michael?

The golden one (picture from 2004)?

(The green one is a Sport in very bad condition we bought for parts - some of them are now in my car - yellow Konis, H?rmann skid pad, driveshaft, front spoiler, wheel arches; gearbox, rebuilt engine and front axle to follow)

Last time I heard from Floppi was in December 2009, when he commented my car on www.carsablanca.de (http://www.carsablanca.de). I think he still lives where he used to live - he's the kind of guy who needs to stay where his roots are. Last car of him I know about is a Seat 1430 he wanted to restore. Maybe Ren? (Forum name: 131akafa) knows his whereabouts? He also has one of his cars from Floppi  ;)

Yes, the golden one was mine. This was just a regular 1600 CL. The car on the left is also known to me. Horrible looking car.
Does Rene still have his red Abarth replica?

Here is another picture of that car.....And of it's engine.

I forget his last name, Knauber. I found his alias and saw he owns the red Super now. Rene's father owns a silver 1400 TC, as far as I can recall. Great fun to see all those cars again and find out that my friends from the past are still "alive". :)

That's fair. So, you made profit. Could you do anything more with the rest of the parts?
By the way, how is Floppi? Does he still have a 131 anyway?

Well well well, the reading glasses  ;D - I answered your questions already:

Some of the parts are now in my car - yellow Konis, H?rmann skid pad, driveshaft, front spoiler, wheel arches, dashboard; gearbox, rebuilt engine and rebuilt front axle to follow.

Update: Also, I do still have the rear axle and the driver's door as a spare. All parts that were sold fetched around 700 Euros. So, a good return on investment  ;D

That was before I knew of the green/pink car. But you know what, Robert? Forget I asked. Ok?

Mike

sorry for offending you. Maybe it's just my style to read a thread thoroughly before commenting on anything - I am a journalist, so I'm used to this mode. But here I got the impression that all my elaborate provision of information was not read at all. I tried to make my comment as light as possible using a smilie. So again, sorry for any offence. And don't be so touchy, ok? After all, it's the 131 that this forum is all about.

Title: Re: anyone interested in???
Post by: mirafiori76 on September 03, 2010, 07:58:33 AM
Robert,

It's ok. I get the same feeling when I read my topic about my engine. Sometimes it's seems that people don't read the previous.
I only meant to ask you how Floppi was doing. He and I have a long history. That is, until I lost sight of him. If I can I would like to get back in touch with him. I hoped you could help me. I know you said that he has a SEAT now, but my question: if he still have a 131 you didn't answer. Know what I mean?

Anyway, I don't need reading glasses...for a long time I hope ;)

Hi Mike,

try the following: on http://www.carsablanca.de (http://www.carsablanca.de) he posts under the nick "flopperchopper". The last valid email address i have was 3pschrauber (at) web.de. AFAIK he is totally out of 131s, but things may have changed. Panta rhei, as Heraklit says.

Cheers,
Robert (also without the need of reading glasses  ;))

Rene's father owns a silver 1400 TC, as far as I can recall.

Yes he does but it's grown up now and the 1400TC has become 2000TC even though the 1400TC badges are still there...  ;D

My somewhat brisk drive through Turin during the afternoon rush hour with the silver '1400TC' Super in hot pursuit is one of those great memories that I shall cherish forever  ;) :D

A replica of what replica? It still looks good though.
