Title: Re: head gasket Post by: djape1977 on January 07, 2011, 11:15:08 PM than i must be very lucky!
i bought a croma turbo head gasket, fiat ricambi originali, at my local fiat parts shop for 12e last month, and couple months ago i got lancia trevi VX head gasket in another shop for 14e. one for croma turbo is quite like regular gasket but reinforced with steel rings around pistons and trevi VX gasket is 2mm thick, made of bakelite or whatever you call that old dark brown plastic like stuff with separate steel rings for pustons. anyway, both are made to survive high compression ratios. i cant see why on earth would a head gasket cost 130 quid??? made of titanium or what? Title: Re: head gasket Post by: 106usj on January 08, 2011, 10:59:21 AM Why dont you try contacting GC he will have something and i cant see it being ?130
Title: Re: head gasket Post by: TOAD on January 08, 2011, 12:34:36 PM 130+ pounds for a gasket??? who's insane here? seller or buyer? Maybe its special because of the larger bore size ? And this will be a motor sport gasket and not in road material. Look up the price of a GroupA Cosworth H/gasket and that's cheaper because its ford. GroupA Fiat Lancia ?200+ Big boy mods need big boy parts. ;D ;D ;) ;) Title: Re: head gasket Post by: djape1977 on January 08, 2011, 03:50:31 PM been at my local fiat parts shop today, head gasket for delta turbo 16v 85mm bore, made by spresso, 26e
Title: Re: head gasket Post by: Thotos on January 08, 2011, 04:25:13 PM I don't suppose they have gasket sets (or even just head gaskets) for the Lancia Gamma 2.5? Spesso used to make them but they are out of stock and we have trouble getting any gaskets in the UK.
Title: Re: head gasket Post by: djape1977 on January 08, 2011, 05:31:15 PM they do have full gasket sets. i'll ask
Title: Re: head gasket Post by: TOAD on January 09, 2011, 05:09:48 PM Spasso make Road and competition gaskets, there different materials. |
