Title: Shock absorbers
Post by: kev131 on January 20, 2011, 07:37:27 PM
On another thread I previously described some front suspension noises on my Supermirafiori.

I decided that one of the noises (a clonking) is from an aftermarket shock absorber bought new on Ebay for buttons. Consequently I've bought a set of new Fiat 131 Diesel front shocks which I know are favoured for application on the Sport.

I'm wondering should I waste them on the Super or if I was to fit them, could they be too stiff for what is supposed to be a more softly sprung car. Any thoughts?  :)

Kevin,

It's not just the absorbers that make the front suspension stiffer on Diesels. That's also the springs. You can easely fit them on your Super. It only makes a little difference.
Perhaps you don't even notice the difference.
