The track control arms for Abarth hub needs a bigger and stronger ball joint as standard Fiat (0 to fit into the Abarth hub. So the new one does not solve my problem. I will either get a new one and replace the ball joint with my larger ones, or (most likely) refurbish the old ones . This way the ball joint stays in place the ball joints with bigger ball joints. Does anybody if the Yagmur bushes I bought are applicable to my current needs ? (see red markings on the drawings. I bought it as front bush set. My understanding is this: # 1 for front stabilizing bar (to chassis ) ? # 2 and # 4 to hold the stabilizing bar in the control arm ????? (please verify) To me it it really looks like rear shock absorber to axis bush (set of bush 814677 and washer 814890) rather than a set I need : washer - 4177788; 4240587 , and a distance sleeve 4111185 Please tell me I am wrong as this will mean I have the parts I badly need ! # 3 and 4 control arm ( to cross member ?) # 5 for Panhard rod??? I fitted these items as purchased from Yagmur, you need to knock out the centre of the TCA to sway bar. Centre comes out with a good cloute. Steve Photos of items fitted ough from Yagmur. If you are afraid about integrity of your chassis then you need to check if it is rusty :) There will be no problem on a good chassis. You could fit steel replacement to rubber in the place where sway bar is attached to the wishbone(TCA? ). Your wheels will not be moving back nad forward during braking, sway bar will not crack as it is flexible.
Best it will be if you convert you suspension to something that i use in my 131(see photo) |
