Title: Argenta Mirrors on a 132
Post by: kev131 on February 22, 2011, 09:07:44 PM
Does anyone know if these mirrors would fit a Series 3 132...?

Dave or Pedja are likely to know as well as anyone I'm thinking..? :)

Yes and no I think. The Argenta ones have a longer cable for adjustment as the inner door trim panel is different. Those look more likely to be 132 ones as they look like they have a short cable. To be honest though I can't remember if the series 3 132 I have has internally adjustable door mirrors or not  ::)

That's an Irish answer if I ever heard one Dave!  ;)

None of the 132s came with manually internally adjustable door mirrors. The Bellini (or Lido and the 2.0i on the continent) had the single electric driver's door mirror but the control was further down the door panel.

I was just wondering if the modification was feasible without cutting up the car?  :)

I think the S3 131 was the first Fiat with manual internal door mirror adjustment.

No my 132 doesn't have internally adjustable door mirrors. Those look like they could be 131 series 3 mirrors. Good chance they will fit a 132 though as the 132 mirrors look the same as 131 series 2 mirrors.

those mirrors on ebay are for mirafiori. argenta mirrors should have rubber triangular piece covering the joint. also, boltholes spacing is different as well as angles of triangle that sits on the door frame

argenta mirrors are interchangable with 132 mirrors without modification except small triangular trim bit on the inside that would have to be drilled for internal adjuster knob
