The original 131 Sport mirrors have a different base which is unique to the 131 mirrors.

I can tell that because both the mounting screws are accessible without removing the mirror from the base, see photo below of California Mirrors.

The fact is that these mirrors are not rare, like the seller says. I have lots of them which are all new. The bases, however, are rare. Especially because the were only used on 131 Sports :) :) Title: Re: Sport mirrors ebay UK Post by: david on May 26, 2011, 04:56:46 PM Yes they were aluminium.
