For some strange and unexplained reason, the trav & acc (http://www.131mirafiori.com/travelacc2012.htm) button on the website had disappeared  :-\  Apologies for that (I'm blaming the website hosts) but it's now back. There was always a link to the Travel and Accommodation section in the news section and the news-band on the forum's main page so you have no excuse for not booking your rooms yet.

Which brings me to the reminder: You've got just 3 days left to book your accommodation for 3ma12  :o As it says in Travel and Accommodation (http://www.131mirafiori.com/travelacc2012.htm) section:

Important: The hotel are holding a number of rooms for us but these will only be held until the 1st of October 2011 so please book your room(s) early. Any booked rooms can be cancelled without a penalty charge provided they are cancelled before the 1st of March 2012. After that date, for any rooms cancelled before the 7th of May 2012 there will be a 50% charge for late cancellation. 'No shows' will be charged the full amount for any non-cancelled rooms.

This whole booking saga is extremely disappointing. ::) On Friday I sent the hotel two emails and a fax and as of 2000h on Sat 01 Oct I've not yet had any form of confirmation  :-\ Looks like I'll not be joining you all in Germany in 2012 :'(

Heini, perhaps you can contact the hotel and ask them why virtually everyone has had difficulty in booking for this event as it will certainly affect numbers. :(

for my booking I sent an email to the hotel and 5 hours later got confirmation. Maybe (shouldn't be the case, but you never know) it is a language issue? Please find below the German text I sent, followed by a translation into English for your convenience:

Just saw this post and had a phone call with the hotel(02.10 at 13.15)

They have no problems with their emails and receive mails from all parts of the world.
Friday(30.09) after Theo contacted me i sent a test-mail and it worked fine.

I don`t know where the problem is but maybe you try with fax?

Hoping it will all work out fine :)

On Friday morning I sent two emails to different addresses at the hotel that Theo gladly provided to me and also sent a fax with my credit card number on and worryingly none of these have been confirmed to me.

I've sent you a PM Heini. Perhaps you'd be kind enough to confirm with the hotel whether they have received my booking.

"Sadly", this year I shall be travelling on 3ma without my family - should reduce the arguments though ;)

Good news! 8) Just received an email from the Grossfeld confirming my booking ;D ;D Looks like I shall be joining you after all.  :o ;D :D ;)
