Title: Bellamacchina Argenta pictures
Post by: bellamacchina on April 22, 2012, 10:31:25 AM
Last week I visited Guy Moerenhout to complete a deal together. My 131 Racing Volumetrico is on it's way to his private collection(the one pictured at our forum with orange bumpers) I sold it with black bumpers, the orange bumpers I keep for sure. I traded in his  1981 Argenta 2000 i.e. with 32k km in extremely nice condition and an all original unrestored 1980 silver Racing with 64 k km. I didn't decide what to do with the last one, keep it or sell it but enquiries are welcome, pictures will follow of that car. The Argenta was for me part of another deal, the car goes to an english collector and my friend Johnny who lives in south Spain. From his collection I will get back a brilliantly nice Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2.0 Lusso, RHD!! with 48k miles. Here I also didn't made a decision yet to keep it or sell. I am always open for enquiries. Enjoy the first and still dusty pictures :)

I've known about this Argenta for about 4 years and this was one of the reasons I wanted to visit Guy at 3MA12!!! You beat me to it again Albert!!!  ;)

Sorry Kevin ::) The car was standing even longer, it smells after old petrol really horrible, wears still it's factory Pirelli's! If you like we can look at the car and a few others during 3MA ;)

And also serious, Guy planned almost to break the car for the engine, he said me I shouldn't have been 1-2 weeks later. So, be happy you didn't came and saw chopped in pieces :-[

Why break such a good car just for the engine? If you wanted an injection engine (would be nice to put one in my Argenta) why not just do an engine swap and sell the car?

Certain people (many who now no longer post here) berrated me greatly for scrapping my 18,000 mile Supermirafiori and using the engine in my Panorama but that car was stone rotten, a total mess and was only fit for scrap :(

Nicer seats than mine too. Proper velour? Mine are more like cloth. Series 2 Argentas were even less luxurious with cloth like material.

True. The first inside (to the beginning of 1982) was the more appropriate . That of the series 2 was besides very bad quality :-\
