Fuel injected one too. Could do with a similar interior in blue to upgrade mine. Must be an earlier one as it has the nicer velour trim.
Title: Re: Clean Argenta 2000 in Italy Post by: Rob 131 on May 18, 2012, 06:59:46 PM Being an 81 car it must be one of the very first.
I know it was introduced to the UK in May 82 and there were correlations with Argentina (Argenta) and the Falklands Conflict at the time. Looks in great condition although Gold isn't really my thing. :-\ Title: Re: Clean Argenta 2000 in Italy Post by: c.a.c131 on May 18, 2012, 07:55:07 PM I know of an Irish 82 Blue Argenta 2000 not to far away from me, one retried fiat mechanic owner 42,000 miles plastic still on the door cards :o The owner is a very funny man and will not let anyone see the car, I have tryed and no luck so far. I do know that it was used to drive his mother around in, not been used the last 12 years is in a heated garage. Last time it was seen was in 2000 and was mint.

I mused over this as it was the same as my dad's second last Fiat (and last twin cam)....I keep coming back to 131s though. :)

Title: Re: Clean Argenta 2000 in Italy Post by: kev131 on May 18, 2012, 08:17:46 PM Kev the Argenta's are a nice Fiat :) but I sayat the time you wished your Dad had brought a S3 131 Super 2000/TC ? You couldn't be more right Chris - I had even asked the Fiat salesman could he swap the grill & lights for a sport version! :) Title: Re: Clean Argenta 2000 in Italy Post by: c.a.c131 on May 18, 2012, 08:26:23 PM Kev can you remember the difference in price in the 131 Super 2000/TC and the Argenta 2000 ?
Title: Re: Clean Argenta 2000 in Italy Post by: mirafioriman on May 18, 2012, 08:30:34 PM I'll have the prices somewhere but I think as the Argenta was the range topper at the time it was more expensive by a few hundred pounds.
I think the reason I like the Argenta so much is that it is (in the UK at least) so much rarer than the 131. Title: Re: Clean Argenta 2000 in Italy Post by: kev131 on May 18, 2012, 08:37:42 PM Kev can you remember the difference in price in the 131 Super 2000/TC and the Argenta 2000 ? I'm fairly sure the Argenta 2000 was 10000 Irish punts compared with about 8500 for the Super 131 2000. Both were end of the line models for designs from the early seventies but in 1982 they were still stylish, sporty and desirable cars. :) Title: Re: Clean Argenta 2000 in Italy Post by: c.a.c131 on May 18, 2012, 08:56:13 PM For me the 131 Super 2000/TC would be the one :) in this blue ;D
