It is possible. In my opinion - it only worth to paint engine block when block is completely dissassembled and cleaned properly from grease and road dust. Also, you must use high heat enamel paint. There are few options in the market here in the USA; i.e. paint that endures 500 F, 750F, 1200 F, and 2000 F heat. In my opinion any of these will do the job. Painting aluminum cam covers is possible with same paint. Please, let me know if you need more information about paint. Talke care. Bo

You must use a high temp paint and everything must be clean and free of grease or oil. In my case I used high temp engine paint.
