Title: 131 Racing gunmetal with silver bumpers for sale Post by: bellamacchina on September 09, 2012, 06:32:14 PM For sale: Fiat 131 Racing 1-6-1979, originally delivered in Switzerland where I bought it in the late 90s. I sold it as a project to my best friendwho restored the car. Other needs made him decide to sell this particular car.
Actually the car is almost fully finished, welding completely done, full paintjob ready! Wheels powdercoted and fitted with new Pirelli's. Believe me as I tell you the car is in stunning condition. What is still to do to finish the car: The car has an Argenta VX rearaxle with discbrakes but no handbrakecables, that means or you organise fitting cables OR change it back to original with another rearaxle Headlining needs to be done, is fully out The red interior needs some work, I can change it also for a black interior in good condition Some stripes and plastic parts need to be mounted Exhaust partially change Finish the doors Mount the carburettor, change the cambelt and adjust everything Mount the right frontbrakehoses Keep the underside this way or put jacking points under again. My friend decided to leave them as they are notorious rusttraps, I want them under my cars for the original looks. I am sure I forgot some things but this is really almost everything! It is on offer this way unfinished because I got a lot of questions for a good Racing and I don't finish it "this month" , BUT of course I am also interested in offers for the car completely finished. Every part and bit is with the car, nothing is missing! No problems to expect, doors were changed, some underbody welding, otherwise it was a good and solid car. We look for pictures in the archives as they are from the pre-digital period. I will post detailed pictures from the inside.

I expect people think it is still half of a restoration, definately it is not, but this made me think in this case it is maybe better to finish the car before offering it.
Today I ordered a few parts and organised that most things will finished as soon as possible. That includes make it full running including new fluids, belt waterpump etc New made headlining Interior done to the best standard possible with the available original red/orange material, eventually possible still to swap to black Swap the rearaxle for an original one with new brakes Finish the doors Finish the black trim Complete all missing parts Organise a new dutch MOT Etc, In the meantime I am of course open for offers and suggestions Title: Re: 131 Racing gunmetal with silver bumpers for sale Post by: bellamacchina on March 27, 2013, 09:36:00 PM Car finished and then sold and delivered to it's new private owner yesterday.
