ebay Item number: 121000018600 ( can't do link to item as i don't know how to) ::) If it's just to leave the power to the battery disconnected when your car is not in use for long periods i would use this .. a lot easier to install &, more pleasing to the eye than that big key /switch.. .. Title: Re: Battery Switch Post by: kev131 on October 20, 2012, 08:55:56 AM A good solution to what Kev? For cars that lie unused for weeks at a time and not having to continually connect & disconnect the battery lead. :) That seems another good solution Dave - Can anyone reccommend any having purchased & fitted one? I noticed that a lot of old Fiats had them fitted in Malta and I like the concept. Much easier, much cheaper and you won't have to add some part to your car that isn't original. :o
Title: Re: Battery Switch Post by: mirafioriman on October 20, 2012, 12:06:59 PM Or you could buy a battery conditioner.

I always disconnect the battery when cars are parked in a garage, just in case ;) Title: Re: Battery Switch Post by: Robert on October 20, 2012, 05:30:56 PM Hi Kevin,
I have a switch quite similar to Posting #1 installed: (http://www.oelprinz-online.de/images/fiatforum/trennschalter.jpg) In my Alfa I had the first switch from Jason's posting, however I am not pleased with this solution; I am back to just disconnecting the battery on this car. My recommendation would be: if you want to install a switch, take the real thing, not the handy dandy item. |
