So Sorry to hear of your loss Mick,  I don't understand why some people can make a decision about other peoples property.  To describe this car as not valueable is a mistake.  I hpoe it returns back to you safely,  and the culprit gets punished.  Mike Stinson.

Don't know if it helps, but I have just hpi'd your mirafiori for you, it is showing up as all clear, and last change of keeper 30/10/2005, so it's not registered as crushed, as my understanding is if it has been scrapped by a registered end of life centre, they have a direct line to DVLA and a legal obligation to inform them. Hopefully it is in one piece somewhere, if you report it stolen, they will be unable to tax or register it without DVLA writing to you to confirm you no longer have an interest in it. Good luck with your search. Kind regards Glenn

Best to report it stolen then if it did surface at least the new keeper would never be able to register or tax it and you could find out where it has been. Were you not paying a rent for storeage?

Re the person who said the cars were worth nothing, I remember when I was having my 131 sport resprayed in 1998 and the old italian bloke who worked at the spray shop said  " why are you bothering doing that old thing up as they are not worth anything "  I said but they are great to drive and I know I am spending more than I would get back if I sold it which I don't think he understood.
But now they are going for money I know of five people who would buy it off me today without me advertising it but they are not interested in the car and just think they can make a profit by selling it on.

The car has been reported missing, and i have the v5 it will be very difficult if not impossible to reregester it here in Ireland or anywhere else. Yes rent was paid by direct debit every 3 months, as were the other people who's cars were disposed of.
