Series 3 cars had different union threads. I have a spare union block connector for you, but can't check till Monday. Looking at the pictures and the talk of you changing wheel cylinders, I assume your quite handy with the Spanners / Sockets ;D ;D. Same with seat 131 braking system, they changed thread and also front brakes during MkIII production.
