Post by: strada on June 30, 2013, 07:55:46 PM yes maybe?? i have always said i will never part with either of my 131s however i am not getting any younger and i now have eight (YES EIGHT) classic cars fighting for my attention not to mention a full time job, i have two identical 131s which could be viewed as a bit silly even by my standards so i am toying with the idea of letting GPD go
this not a decision taken lightly and nothing is set in stone, iam still only at the thinking about it stage, i resurected and rebuilt this car from a wrecked skeleton in the desert, (ok it was actually a wet field in jersey). the car is not going on ebay as i have no say who the winning bidder will be. IF the car is sold it will only go to someone i can trust to look after it. i last sold a 131 in 2001 and the guy DID NOT LOOK AFTER IT!!. so i am still very wary. the rebuild is featured on this very forum & a photographic cd is availible to seriously interested parties, (pm me). there are some jobs to do the front bumper inner metal piece needs replacing, i have one now and may do it if i have time. and the wind screen leaks alittle in heavy rain or under the pressure washer. it is a UK supplied right hand drive car with 49000 genuine miles only & a compleat history file from day 1 including original sale invoice, an oppertunity like this is unlikely to ever come again in our life time, just getting it out of the lock up to take some pictures has left me doughting wheather i can actually bring myself to do this, any offers will need to be above ?6000 (bear in mind the paint alone cost half that), price aside, i need to be satisfied that you are a suitible custodian Title: Re: am i crazy to do this??? Do you have anything like that? I will consider restoration project if I have to, but prefer one in good confirming. Joe
