Title: Wheel or wheels needed Post by: grahamS53 on September 03, 2013, 06:01:42 PM Bit of a disaster. While inspecting the tires after the MOT man gave advisory on rears looking a bit old (probably originals) noticed a small crack on the edge of one rim, tucked where you could not see it until the wheels were cleaned, gentle tap with a hitting stick and piece came off!! Its beyond the beading seal so tire not deflated but obviously not good. So does anyone either have an odd wheel that matches (see pictures) or if not a good set of original wheels, with or without tires? If we go the original route then the alloys will be available for sale. Thanks. G
Title: Re: Wheel or wheels needed Post by: TOAD on September 03, 2013, 07:20:03 PM Alloys can be repaired look on you tube to see how, I've had a buckle pushed out on Badger and most will tell you I don't hang around.
Title: Re: Wheel or wheels needed Post by: grahamS53 on September 03, 2013, 07:54:31 PM Hi Toad. Problem with that is these are proper "magneseum" alloys, remember when every wheel was called a "Mag-alloy"? So you apparently you cant be welding them as the high magneseum content will just burst into flame and "Boof" no more wheel :o G
