A few photo's taken today :) When it comes to the Supermirafiori some of us like the S2 more then the S3 & some vice versa ? So what one ? the S2 or S3 do you like ? & why ? ???

But the velour is better on the S2 Super's ;D

Well that's a difficult one! I prefer the S2  especially the back end. The S3 I feel has a better quality feel to the interior but Fiat imho spoilt the lines with the rear lights and body mouldings which did make it feel more grown up.......but I would quite happily have both in my garage........why ask these unanswerable questions......  :-\

Series 2 all the way. Much prettier, better wheels, much better interior than on the series 3. More quality feel on items like external door handles on a series 2 as they're metal not plastic. The series 3 has the more powerful 2 litre engine of course but I can live without that ;D

I have been meaning to do this thread for awhile now :)

Series 2 because the plush great looking interior  including the original dashboard the more harmonious tail and great looking steel wheels.
Series 3 because there was a 2 litre and also a Volumetrico

I can't choose - I like them both a lot...and the series 1 "S"!  :)

Series III because we had one and because of the elegance oriented style of the car instead of sporty/extravagant style of the series II. A brand new series III shows lots of details (colour and material) especially studied to achieve elegance, which tend to disappear when car gets old and tarn. It's a great car, considering that it's just a third series of an outdated model and that fiat didn't spend lots of time and money defining the whole car. Brilliant....

I'd have to pick series 2,  I think the series 3 side mouldings make it look too heavy.  I may prefer the series 2 as it is closest to my Brava.  In response to a previous post in this subject... I have full velour interior in my Brava. Mike Stinson

Well as a series 3 owner, I do prefer the cleaner lines of the series 2. If I could have found a good one I'd have gone for one, but with so few left in reasonable condition you can't be choosy :). both awesome cars of course, and this is really a subjective question, but I have been toying with the idea of removing all the series 3 plastic exterior trim off mine (there was a fantastic looking 4 door made up like a sport on one of the threads, don't have it to hand)

Having rebuilt loads of mechanical stuff on mine, including brakes and cooling, things are on hold whilst I buy a new house and hopefully move come the spring, then it will be full speed ahead to hopefully join you folks in May, but I suspect there will be no budget this year to tackle the bodywork. This car however is the inspiration for what I want to achieve with mine, might just take a year or so more than planned to get there. However, waited a few years to but one *cough* so no rush.......

Series 2. Towards the end of the run Fiat started cost cutting.

Of late I have to say the S2 is a better 131 Super, they drive better then a S3 Super as a S3 sits higher then the S2 Super's :)

The build quality is better on S2 Super's :) look @ the door rubbers on a S2 Super a nice velour trim on them, you don't get this on a S3 Super :( I find the carpets & plastic trims inside are better quality feel to them.

The velour in a S2 Super is just stunning :)

Door Handles, mirrors, grille, side mouldings, bumpers & dash are much nicer on a S2 Super too ;D
