ok we all know that some first series parts are the same from an Abarth
but this are terrible prices!  :'(

I am guilty of buying 2 series 1 grills last year.. the first was brand new paid stupid money for it.. ?230 delivered.. paid that cause it's new & will finish off the
car lovely when it's done & ready for the road..
about 3 months later a second series 1 new grill came up on ebay , got it for ?70 delivered...
Goes to show bargins do appear an odd time..

What annoys me more than anything is that sellers of these items obviously don't do their research properly (these grilles are Series 1 production car grilles and NOT Abarth grilles which had no chrome embellishments) and also think that owners of Abarth's are stupid enough to pay such prices, which we most definitely are not! >:(

Personally I wouldn't pay more than ?50 for a grille, and it would have be a very good secondhand one for that!

The thing is, all the while buyers are paying high prices, sellers will charge them  :-\

Simon is right. The grille from Abarth is exactly the same as the ones from the Special, except for the chrome. Even the ones later used in group 4 cars are the same. They only did cut out pieces to fit bigger lights.
But because the rallycars use the same grilles people add the word Abarth to the adverts, hoping to get fat prices. Same is with the remote shifter from Racing/Sport.
The name Abarth is kind of magical.

But these are just series 1 tail lights. Sure, also used on Abarths, but that was just the model in those years. Got nothing to do with Abarth in general.

Am I missing some extra chrome bits on my grille
 I cannot seem to see where they go?

Can someone tell me if the original series 1 grill was from plastic or metal?

Plastic, chrome plated, then the black parts were painted.  wierd way to do it I just redid the black in mine, Used a semi-gloss came out looking sharp.  I have a spare hanging on my shop wall but, it has some broken spots.
