Someone who is moving to Malaysia has posted a link to this on the Fiat Motor Club website. I don't know if he is a member of this forum, but I told him to check it out just in case. Didn't see the price when I liiked but I do now. Apparently you divide by about 6.5 which makes it about ?5400

The owner phone number +60193332144 Mr Ramli. A nice chap.
You may call him direct.
The number given earlier belongs to his son. When I saw the number displayed, I thought it belongs to another owner. The car is in tip top condition.

His Alfasud Ti silver colour is also up for sale.

Another? Escort with RS2000 motor & drivelines for track use, he'll keep that.
You'll enjoy seeing the car once you meet him later.

Good luck, Dave.

Looks great!  :o

The radiator is non-standard with two cooling fans fitted but I suppose that's needed in Malaysia. Or was that standard factory setup in hot countries?

Interesting dipstick modification too. I suggest the first time you change the oil you measure the amount going into the engine and then make sure the dipstick marks are correct.

The brake fluid reservoir is non standard so I suppose the master cylinder is a non-Fiat item. Maybe the brakes have been uprated?

Cam wheels are non standard but are they adjustable? Has the engine been modified (other than the obvious twin carburettors)?

Strange venturi inserts in the carbs. I would fit a set of trumpets on there and some air filtration.

So, is it now yours Dave?

well, engine is modded somewat,I dont know how much or what has been done, but the owner reckons 130bhp,the body work was restored 5 years ago,the car will come with aircon fitted and mini lite style rims........my freind went for spin, says its very solid driving car,no fluffing at all from the engine etc,and interiour a little tired but ok, so i hope its still there next month so i can see.....im tempted to buy unseen but...............................so wat you guys think?

For rare stuff like this .. if my heart says I want it, I'll ask my friend to put the downpayment, lock the transaction from going to someone else and I'll sleep well for a month ;)
For those little things, I'll come back and solve later  ;) ..

Looks like a good one. A lot of money in my opinion, but I only buy cheap cars! If you are serious about buying a good sport for use in your new home, I would say like is said above go for it! If someone else gets there first I am sure you will be disappointed!

it is pricy by uk standards, but it also looks quite good from the pics at least.....i know from bitter experience how much a 'bargain' car can cost in the end after restoration  ::).........sometimes its better to just pay and drive.........

It is certainly a lot less hassle! Also often restored cars are never as good as original examples. It takes very good facilities, parts and skills to do as good a job as the factory. Also it is nice to be able to drive your car around and not just look at it in the garage!

I agree,on the subject of restoration, this car will need some tlc to make it really sharp i think, but a light ongoin resto is fine,so,whats the parts availiblity like for the sport?, the car will get close inspection tomorrow hopefully and i may need a couple of items to take down with me,(i have a container booked for the house stuff) for example it seems the dash board has a crack/split in it,and the steering wheel is a bit tired, anyone out there with a hoard of sport parts?  ;D

Don't worry Dave, later on we can have a good journey along Karak Highway with other 131 owners looking for dashboard, or maybe another project car  ::) ;D

ah thanks....mmm project car....dont tempt me !!!a 600 or 850 could be on the cards...as for the 131, the owner tells me the car wont be ready till after CNY he seems to be a perfectionist and wants to re commision the car after it standing or so long etc etc...i now have pics of the underside,he put it on the ramp for my friend to get some pics !!all seems well with all underseal bein removed when he first over hauled it,so no hidden nastys !
I have yet to find out all what he has done to it,but it does seem to have had suspension etc uprated as well as the motor... :P

lookin forward to meetin you all down there and as for some of the roads....sheer bliss, the run up to genting is superb !! is this the Karak highway? i think so?

Early sunday morning is good, because we won't get tickets !! ??? ;D

update, well, ive seen the car in the metal now,the interiour is all there and unmolested, but it is very tired with a cracked dash the being worse part, however, here its relitivly cheap to get a new leather interiour made.
i have found out the car was stripped an restored with new sills etc being fitted, the paint is 4-5 years old,so the few little bubles showing dont seem so bad in that case.
the engine sounds very sweet, only mods being the twin 40's ,headers and full flow exhaust system, and the vernier cam pullys.
the radiator is toyota and keeps the twin cam cool in traffic and 34c.....

the car will come with the factory aircon refitted and 14'' minilite reps and new rubber.

all in all im interested to buy it,131's in all forms are rare here now, and the sport even more so...i think with a rolling resto it could be a nice car,but never concours as the parts just dont exist here for that.

watch this space... ;)
