i need a new janspeed for 131 sport can anybody help

? ? ? ? ? ? ?Janspeed is not for sale, as I am not sure yet whats happening with the parts I bought off Declan Summers. Three months on, and I'm still waiting for the rest of the parts we dealt on. If I had of known the outcome I would have kept my money in my pocket. Still living in hope.

Mark I hope to collect that 131 off of you at the weekend.

hi boger   l need a janspeed exhaust for my 131 sport
the 1 on it is nackered now iv been on to janspeed in the uk
again they stoped making them for the sport years ago but
if they got enough orders they mite produce them again
so if any body is intrested please let me no asap thanks
o also if anybody wants the 4 branch manifold i can ask about that aswell

That's taking the piss bigtime. Time for a refund now.

janspeed have just been back on to me and said the would reproduce the janspeed exhaust
for the 131 sport, raceing if they got an order of 10 they can offer it in a mild steel or stainless
steel  price would be aprox 186 pounds for the mild steel and aprox 209 pounds for the stainless
i my self will take 2 brensport will take 1 so that leaves 7 so if anybody elce has an intrest please
let me no thanks ;)

I'll take one too. At those prices the Stainless makes more sense so I'd rather opt for that but I don't mind mild steel if that's what the rest of you want.

Will one of these fit a 2 litre saloon as well? If so I may be interested in one. Like Theo at the prices quoted stainless would be my prefered option.

For a non technical member can someone explain the benefits of making this modification..and any downsides that may result...?

On the upsides, I do remember the super noise that Mark's exhaust made at 3MA07.? :D

yes mirafioriman it will fit as the 2door and 4 door cars are the same lenth
kev apart from the great sound the janspeed makes it gives a good increase in power
and i think myself stainless steel is the way to go
janspeed have not made one for the 131 in years so iv got to send them over my one of my car
so they can coppy it so we are half way their just need another 4 or 5 so anybody elce wants one

p.s. don t mind which one but would prefer stainless for the little bit extra ;D

Dave, if your supers got power rack, the janspeed four branch does not fit as it catches the knuckle joint from memory, but you can fit the rest of the system  to the original downpipe by sleeving it.

I've a few 4 branch manifolds in various states so the rest of the system will come in handy to match up to one of them.

hi guys just an update on the new janspeed exhaust
as i said janspeed stoped making them for the 131 sport some years ago
so i  have sent them over the one of my sport so they can coppy it
i have ordered 10 in stainless steel and it will be aprox 3 wks till they are ready
so start saveing i havnt got a definite price just yet but will let ye no when i no
so when they are ready i will post it here  and to order just phone martin

Great news Mark; thanks for doing all the legwork on this. It'll be good if they are ready before the 3ma.

Is there an update on these Janspeed exhausts? Are they now available?

dave i fitted one on my super and with an extra manifold flange which janspeed sent me
i just payed the postage.
 i could  cut and shut a the new stainless system if i cound find the right new down pipe for a 1.4

I've been in touch a couple of times regarding the Janspeed exhausts. It seems Martin is no longer the person responsible for these and a Matthew Gill (ext 201) has now taken over from Martin.

I spoke to Matt a few minutes ago and he told me that he has found the exhaust Mark sent them to use as a pattern but Matt thinks the exhaust is too damaged to be useful as a pattern. Janspeed no longer have their original patterns so they'd be looking into re-copying the original Fiat exhausts. I was asked to call him again in about a week's time when he would be able to tell me if they could produce some more of these exhausts and how much they are likely to cost. To be honest I don't think it's going to happen.

Jon exhausts in Newry will make a stainless system to your spec from the manifold back,
my celica from the janspeed 4 branch manifold back was ?250 & there was no exhaust to copy single backbox 2" 304 stainless, took them about 2 hours highly recommended phone 04830264371

Jon exhausts is not very good for us in the UK though!
Matt at Janspeed didn't know anything when I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago and he said he would get back to me. As you might guess he didn't so I called again today. He said he had the "sample" sat next to him but didn't think it was good enough to copy. I'll probably call him again in about a week as he suggested but I won't persevere with it if he doesn't inspire confidence when I next talk to him.
