These 131 4 doors never seem to generate any intrest on this forum seem's we are almost all 2 door fans.
I often wonder what happen's to these 4 doors as there is never any real intrest from forum members from this site in general with any that come up for sale.

well is there ever any interest in anything thats posted for sale on here??
have you 106 who is gathering parts for your sport got any parts that were advertised for sale on here?

but to be fair i have had a couple of things from the site and they have been good quality bits.

ok then i did get a 4 branch exhaust & a set of 2 door sills but that was a while ago it's just i have real good new parts for sale & no one is interested so i reckon i will have to store them until someone needs?

To be honest i think most people by pass the forum and sell on ebay as im sure a lot of the stuff i have bought on ebay has been from forum members.

Don't think I've ever put stuff on ebay before advertising on forums relating to the bits I have / had for sale. Would rather see them go to a member and at least I know its gone for a price I'm happy with.

I like four door 131s, when i grt a bit of cash together (still a bit skint from the resession) i would go for one at the right price. the one from greece looks great ,would be happy with one like that! long live the four doors !

A 4 door 131 is just as rare as a 2 door sport especially a supermirafiori series 2 & they are highly valued with myself, but if getting a 131 get what you really want & dont settle for 2nd best if you know what i mean

Nearly every uk RHD 131 Sport out there for sale is second best im afraid, the (genuine) A1 condition Sports are like hen's teeth in the UK and anyone who has an A1 one will never sell.

Ive a soft for the 4 doors, i had 4 and only 3 ,sports and my fire breathing monster was a 4 door 8)

The 2 door TC Sport was the enemy of the 2 door RS Escort.
The 4 door version of both were always second best, although Fiat did give the 131 4 door the same 2000cc TC engine.
Did ford give ever give the 4 door Escort the same engine from the 2000 RS to the 4 door ??

Ford made the Sierra XR500 in S.Africa (Yes sorry Sid it was XR8) a great car but it was always the 2.8L max XR4x4 in the UK.
Fiat gave the 4 & 2 door fans the same TC engine performance give or take a few BHP with the Sport & Super Mirafiori. ;)

I was thinking of the Swiss company (Eggenberger tuning) they did the initial tuning work on the Sierra's to produce the great RS 500 Sierra ,then the only 500 rhd versions made were sent to Tickford UK
You are right Sid the XR8 was the South African one with the V8 engine
