Title: 131 Sport/Racing Bumper fixings.
Post by: 106usj on September 27, 2010, 08:42:24 PM
Hello all.
Im looking for a good set of the 131 Sport/Racing side bumper fixing bolts.
These are the 4 fixing bolts (2 for each end) one end has the female thread the other end has the male threaded end the male end threads into the bumper then the female end goes through the holes in the wing for the bolt to go through.

Can any one help ??

The problem is that they're always rusted. Second to that is that bolts break in the fittings. I have 1 front bumper with these bolts left. Unscrewing them will certainly end up in damaging the bumper. So I won't. And i guess that's the problem for everybody. Untill now there just isn't anyone who can help you.
Keep asking ;) :)
Good luck.

Mike

Sure there are. You just have to be patient. Somebody will come up and sell you one or two. Maybe with the bumper still attached to it :D, but who knows... ;)

106,

Just hang on for a little while longer. Perhaps you get lucky.

Threaded rod is readily available, buy some Hex bar, cut it to length and thread it up the middle. Much cheaper than getting a machine shop to turn them up for you, unless you know someone that'll do it for mates rates.
