Hi,

on monday this week i worked in the field and because of the good weather i did not take my company car but
my silver Racing. One of my clients i visited, remembered a friend of him who drove a Fiat 131 in former days,
as they were used as a normal used car ::)
Today i got some old fotos from him which i want to share with you :D

I like these old fotos with 131 in action 8)

May be there are more of them outside? ;D

Here is a picture from 1990 when we bought the blue 2000/TC and were selling the gold 1400 CL (masked as a super)

Having had continuous 131 ownership of at least one 131 since I bought my first one in 1979 and being a bit of a photography nutter, I have loads  of old 131 photos  :D

Here's a couple from 1979 (or might be 1980) First one in Paris and second somewhere in Brussels.

1981 in The Hague, Outerkerk ( ???) and Rotterdam

Somewhere in the Alps on the way to Ivrea in Italy 1982.

Onto 1983 and somewhere between Koblenz in Germany and Luxenbourg. Not much of the car can be seen I'm afraid. But would you believe I still have that green Thermos flask?  ;D

Photo taken on Tower Bridge in London. Not sure of the year but probably 1983. The fog lights didn't last very long on the car because even though I fitted them I decided I didn't like them  :-\ But I still have them somewhere!  :)

A new job in 1983 saw the 131S 1600 upgraded to a 131 Sport and it was back to Paris in 1984. Incidentally, I am still in the same job (sort of; it's changed a lot over the years but still the same employer) and the car was only scrapped a few months ago (although still on SORN so technically still  in existence).

My daughter always claimed my silver 131 Sport was hers even at the very young age of 2 in 1990  :)  I'm sure the first word she ever spoke was "daddy" and the second was "MINE" while pointing at the 131 Sport  ;D  Unfortunately the car didn't last long enough for her to drive  it :'(

You certainly keep your cars for a long time. The 131S for six years and I assume the 131 Sport was your main car from 1983 through to 1990 until when? What did you drive thereafter, or when did 131's cease to be your main everyday car.

I'm not into selling my cars, only buying them! The 131S was from 1979 to 1983 and the Silver 131 Sport was from 1983 to 1991 when I got my first Maserati Biturbo. The 131 Sport became my daily driver again between Biturbos and as mentioned above it's still on SORN even though the car no longer exists as a whole.  :-[

Everybody did in those days and I also could  :D Unfortunately I can't any more even if I wanted to....  :-\  ;D ;D
