Title: 131 ohv water pump Post by: fi131 on April 04, 2011, 09:34:15 PM Last weekend i decided to change the water pump in my 131 ohv engine Browsing some on-line catalogues from different aftermarket water pump suppliers ( graf ,saleri, buggati ) i noticed that the water pump for 131 ohv engines is different from what i already had in my 131 ohv engine.
The water pump in my block looks like the one that is supplied for the earlier 124 ohv type engines . As it appears in the attached photos although both 124 ohv water pumps and 131 ohv look identical ,there is a difference . Water pump in my engine 124 type probably ? (http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/6583/waterpump.jpg) There is a different bulge in the upper left side of the 131 pump (spotted with a red arrow in the photos ) and a slightly wider water port in the opposite side as well . Are both the 124 ohv and 131 ohv w/pumps interchangeable or the one provides better water circulation than the other ? Is it wrong that my 131 ohv engine is installed with this type or there is no problem Thanks |
