From the numbers committed so far this sounds like it could be the biggest classic Fiat gathering in Ireland... ever!  :o

Mike (124man) has been working quietly behind the scenes to create the interest.  :)

Fiats are meeting at 9.30am in Durrow village (Texaco petrol station on the Cork side) before proceeding to the show as a convoy.

Pictures will appear here after the event.  :)

Come for the weekend Bobby - It's more worthwhile.

Should be one being organised soon for late September as usual. :)

Bring your 8 131s...!  ;)

Which one are you bringing to 3MA12 by the way?

Cheers Rob  ;)

When i was on the hunt for another Sport this came along in Retro cars so colour was no choice. It looks well when polished up and considering it was painted approx 1995 still get compliments on the overall body condtion. It was a full strip and painted inside out with 2k laquer all over. It is parked in the corner of my garage and i ended up putting a cover on it as i'd get random dodgy chaps stopping to have a gander inside the garage and generaly wasting my time. Did get the good ones too that complimented the rallying history and how fast they were in there days against Fords. Even had a chap come in a suit with a clipboard trying to offer the 1990's good runner price. He wasn't to pleased when i told him to go and do your research first.

Always wanted an orange one. I've had Black, Red, Green, Silver so far.

Despite the frequent showers and the early start to the show season, there is still massive interest in Irish Classic Fiat owners in getting together and showing off their pride & joys. We had our best ever showing with 25 official Fiat attendees with a couple others dotted around. Also a handful of Lancias and Alfas...and a lovely Manta 400 replica from a Fiat 131 member on here.

Access in and out of the show area was very well managed with no difficulties when I entered/exited. Big thanks to Mike (124man) for organising the Fiat event and for encouraging so many owners to attend. Plus he erected two flag poles flying the Fiat flag so we had plenty of attention. Even the guys from Vintage Scene magazine commented that they had heard many positive remarks from people who were pleased to see a change from the usual Cortinas and Capris (who were very well organised in fairness). Mike very kindly used my car to anchor one of the flag poles- Presumably so any accident and resultant insurance claim wouldn't be on his insurance!!  ;)

Anyway, thanks to everyone for attending - I had lots of enjoyable conversations although I didn't get around to everyone. Enjoy the pictures.  :)

This may be a new 131 Sport to some people on here. It's another European  LHD import which has found its way into the hands of a very big Fiat fan.

Nice photos ;)

I love the red 132 I think the colour really suits it.

Also I spy in the background a nice 130 saloon in silver ;)

I dunno Bobby.

Seeing both cars parked side by side the "without" is a cleaner look and allows the original car design to be seen.

Definitely a personal preference though.... :)

Well done to Mike 124 man for organising such a great and varied turn out in durrow yesterday, and to all who showed up on what was not the best of days weather wise however the chat, craic and comradery made up for anything the weather lacked

I see where you are coming from Kev and the standard look is defo a cleaner look.

I am a big fan of the Richard Grant type rear spoiler and think they finish the 131 off perfect.

Hi Enda - I had heard you were coming so I was disappointed to hear that circumstances prevented you from participating. I'm looking forward to meeting you and seeing your car sometime. Wouldn't it be great to get all the orange Sports in Ireland together!? ;)

Some Great Pictures.

With regards to the 131 Sport Roof Spoiler, unsurprisingly I am very much in the 'No' camp ;D. Traditional look is always the best IMHO.

The Red 132 that appears in many of these shows looks a real peach. Would look nice next to the 131 Super that was sold on Ebay last week ;D :D.

Also nice to see some late 80's Fiats in the mix, such as the Croma Turbo.

It appears that Ireland is the place when looking for an Orange Sport ;D ;D ;D :)
