Title: 131 coil over
Post by: 131 Lover on September 01, 2014, 07:05:29 AM
Hi!
I just wanted to show my newly made semi coil overs, i took some new struts i had for a diesel and bought a set of springs with screws for Honda Civic!
I kept the springplates incase i want it change it back!

Still need to road test them, but i just wanted to have adjustable height and a bit harder suspension in the front!

Cheers
Alf

hi, good idea, well, he must now see the result on the road. I think you have to weigh the car to Commender the good springs?

pascal.

Hi Simon!
You're right but at the moment with two small children and no extra time I am happy to get anything together....
I just checked that the Civic had almost the same weight as the 131, that's good enough for me, its only going as a road car.

Cheers
Alf

i have also these similar "coilovers". but springs are too short, so i put both front and rear springs to front.

Hi TFP!
Do you mean it's to stiff?
I made a distance aluminum piece in the bottom of the strut to get the spring higher , I also have a plastic piece in the top who will steer and keep the spring in place.

Cheers

Of course it would be stiffer if there is only one spring.
but the reason for the two spring is that I get the car street legal "MOT"
here rules say spring not be left loose when you pick the car up.

height is now this, and is possible put few cm:s lower until sping is loose... and stifness is suitable for me.
