Have no back up light function, no signal to the rear bulbs I suspect it is the switch.... Is it easy to replace? and where do I find it? anywhere on the gearbox I guess ??? With time the connections get weak and sometimes even drop off the switch.

But, check this out: I had the same problem and it turned out that the issue was that the the wire runs near the escape line under the right front seat. I had a similar problem where both the brake lights wouldn't come on. It turned out to be the connectors to the rear of one of the right hand side light cluster which had come loose. Because the left side light cluster is "fed" off the right side light cluster, when the right cluster connection got loose, it didn't operate the left either.
